Operation Christmas Child

Boiling Springs Baptist Church believes in spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ. One way we do this is by Operation Christmas Child. You can click on the OCC Logo and go to their website to find out more. We will have news on when we will be kicking off our 2026 Operation Christmas Child Campaign. Below is a sample list of items and costs for this year. Note: Items need to fit inside of a shoebox.

Some Ideas Include:

Comb, brush, water bottle, cup, plate, bowl, pencils, pencil sharpeners, flashlights with extra batteries, crayons, colored pencils, markers, small craft kits, coloring books, books, playdoh, blankets, hard plastic utensils (toddler spoon and fork), hair bows, bracelets, sunglasses, glow sticks, blanket, t-shirt, shorts, pants, socks, shoes, age appropriate toys, a personal note from you or your family with a picture

Items that cannot be used:

Candy; toothpaste; soap; gum; used or damaged items; war-related items such as toy guns, knives, or military figures; chocolate or food of any kind; liquids (including bubbles) or lotions; medications or vitamins; breakable items such as snow globes or glass containers; aerosol cans, scary toys (Batman isn’t scary to us but someone who doesn’t know may think he is).

In addition it costs $10.00 dollars to ship a shoebox. We ask that you donate the $10.00 to the church so we can write one check for all of the shipping.

Or if you do not want to make your own box you can give money towards helping our children and youth make shoeboxes. For $25.00 we can make a shoebox and pay for the shipping.

We are excited that we already can let you know about some deadlines coming up for Operation Christmas Child in 2026:

The deadline to turn in money to make shoeboxes is Sunday November 8, 2026.

The deadline to bring in items for shoeboxes is Sunday November 8, 2026.

After a great success last year, we are going to continue to have a church-wide packing party for Operation Christmas Child. It will be held on Wednesday November 11, 2026 at 6:30 PM in our Sanctuary. This will take the place of our normal Wednesday Night Service.

If you are making your own shoebox, the deadline to have them here at the church is Sunday November 15, 2026.

The National Operation Christmas Child Shoebox collection week is November 16-23rd. We will be dedicating our shoeboxes during our Worship Service on Sunday November 15, 2026.
