Operation Christmas Child

Boiling Springs Baptist Church believes in spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ. One way we do this is by Operation Christmas Child. You can click on the OCC Logo and go to their website to find out more. We have kick started our 2019 campaign for Operation Christmas Child. Below is a sample list of items that you can put in your shoebox this  year for this ministry.

Items needed:

Comb, brush, washcloth, soap( put in baggie), water bottle, cup, plate, bowl, hard plastic utensils (toddler spoon and fork), hair bows, bracelets, sunglasses, glow sticks, blanket, t-shirt, shorts, pants, socks, shoes, age appropriate toys, a personal note from you or your family with a picture

Items that cannot be used:

Candy; toothpaste; gum; used or damaged items; war-related items such as toy guns, knives, or military figures; chocolate or food of any kind; liquids or lotions; medications or vitamins; breakable items such as snow globes or glass containers; aerosol cans, scary toys (Batman isn’t scary to us but someone who doesn’t know may think he is).

In addition it cost $9.00 dollars to ship a shoebox. You can place $9.00 in your shoebox or you can donate to the church and the church will take care of it for you.

Or if you do not want to make your own box you can give money towards helping our children and youth make shoeboxes. For $20.00 we can make a shoebox and pay for the shipping.

Here are some deadline that you need to know:

All monetary donations are due by Sunday November 17, 2019.
All shoeboxes are due Wednesday November 20, 2019.

Our Children and Youth Shoebox packing party is on Wednesday November 20, 2019 beginning at 6:30 PM. We will dedicate the shoeboxes at the end of our Wednesday Night Service, so please be here.

Thank you for supporting Operation Christmas Child!
