This Week's Sermon
Our motto:

God is good all the time, and all the time God is Good! It's so easy to remember and is so true, because we do serve a God that is so good that He gave us His Son as the ultimate sacrifice for Sin.

In this week's service, we continued in our current sermon series in the Gospel of John and continued in John Chapter 20. Our main scripture was in John 20:11-18, but later verses were also referenced in the sermon. We saw how the events unfolded when Mary Magdalene went back to the tomb and met the angels and Jesus who sent her to tell the others that He was very much alive and well. We also started our Advent celebration a little early with the lighting of the Hope Candle (Christmas music will be coming this Sunday December 3rd). We will continue in Chapter 20 of our current sermon series in the Gospel of John with Pastor Joey on Sunday December 3, 2023, at 11:00 AM, so please join us if you are able (or watch it here on YouTube if you cannot join us in person).

We will be having choir practice this Wednesday Night November 29th following our Service. Choir Members please come out as we are working on the Christmas Cantata.

The Week of Prayer for the Wilkes Ministry of H.O.P.E. Toy Store  continues now thru Sunday December 3rd.

This Saturday December 2, 2023 at 5:30 PM we will be having our 2023 Holiday Meal, which is our annual Celebration of Thanksgiving and Christmas. We will have turkey, ham, and chicken provided by the church and there is no cost for the meal. Please invite your family and friends to come out as it would be a great time to invite folks to church (they get to know the people and they come back the next day to Worship with us). Please see Carolyn Eller if you can help with sides and deserts for this meal (we are hoping for a large crowd for the Holiday Meal this year).

We will be observing the ordinance of Believer's Baptism this Sunday December 3, 2023 during our morning Worship Service.

The Week of Prayer for International Missions will be from Sunday December 3rd thru Sunday December 10th.

Our 2023 Advent Celebration will begin on Sunday December 3rd during our Worship Service.

Our next Connect Ministry Night will be on Wednesday December 13, 2023 at 6:30 PM. We will be distributing fruit baskets to our food box recipients tonight so please come out so we can get the fruit baskets ready.

Our 2023 Christmas Cantata, "Jesus: The Greatest Christmas Gift Ever Given To Us,” will be presented on Sunday December 24, 2023 during our 11:00 AM Worship Service. We hope you will join us as we celebrate the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ.

We are now using a "flex" choir practice schedule to help our members who are or wish to sing in the choir. We will have a mix of Sunday and Wednesday practices throughout each month to help those who cannot be here on Wednesday Nights. They will be announced on our website and in our weekly bulletins.

If you need a ride to any of our Worship Services, please call Pastor Joey or one of our Deacons. They will be happy to come and pick you up or they will get you in contact with someone from the church who will be able to if for some reason they are not able.

Bulletins are back on our website. You can visit www.boilingspringsbaptist.church/bulletins and view our bulletins (The 11/26/23 bulletin is now available online).
